The Orchardorchard_tractor

Kilmarnock Orchard is situated on the beautiful Island of Kilmarnock overlooking the historic Rideau River and Rideau Canal system.

The Orchard has been in operation for over 80 years, and shares great history with the Island. The Island, originally named by the Scotts has a unique history of its own.

Owned and operated by the Belot family since 1981, Kilmarnock Orchard has made many transformations and expansions. From the number and varieties of apple trees to the development of the Apple Shop, each improvement adds to and compliments the natural beauty and history of the Orchard and the Island.

Pick your own apple (several varieties) in our tractor drawn wagon train and enjoy shopping at our quaint little apple shop where you will find a delectable assortment of quality local food products.

Our warm days and cool summer nights create conditions perfect for high quality, firm apples with good shelf life.

Fall is the season to re-connect, come and check out the prettiest Sunday drive or better still choose from numerous B&B's or the beautiful Inn of Sam Jakes in Merrickville for an overnight stay and come and join us at the Orchard, we are only 6 km from Merrickville. (more info)

With over 25 varieties of apple trees covering 15 acres, there's a taste and variety for everyone.

Picking your own is the best way to take in the beauty of our orchard.
